I Love My Job...My Mantra

Some days are better than others; this is to be expected. Whether you are just sticking around your house for the day or if you are going out into the workforce. This is absolutely no different for me, of course, why would it be? I don’t remember the last time I actually stopped at the store for wine after work before I got home. But it is fresh in my memory now, since it was today.

I love my job. There is no question of that. Whether it is a “good day” or a “bad day”. I still love my job. I am the senior customer service rep for a nationwide-based company that deals with medical supplies or health and beauty supplies that get shipped all over the world. I love being able to help people get what they desire but also get what they need to physically heal their bodies.

However, when those orders don’t come down correct it can make a good day turn disastrous within one beat of a heart. My customers do not know that I have a side business, that I am a writer, or that I go to do events. They don’t know and quite frankly they don’t care. They just want to make sure that their customers are taken care of at all costs. And that is what I am there for. To set their mind at ease.

When I went to the office today, on a Friday morning, I expected a pretty carefree day. That is not at all what was delivered to me. There was confusion with orders, confusion with customers, confusion with the people that I immediately work with, and just plain confusion all around. My anxiety was on high alert and I had to remember when to keep my mouth closed, and why. I truly believe that b

y remembering this, I was able to keep my job today.

Just remember this people, your job is a job. Your livelihood is your livelihood. Do not allow your job to affect the ethics that you utilize throughout your livelihood. That is one thing that I will never let happen. Ethically I know what to do. And regardless of how much I love my job, I will never allow it to alter my ethics.

Until Next Time... Kristina
