3 Ways to Lift Your Spirit; And Others!
It is no surprise to anyone that COVID screwed up a lot of folks, and the way they deal with life as it is now. do you find yourself more judgmental, less patient, more stressed, or even losing sleep still? If you are, you are certainly not alone. Consider yourself part of my inner circle if that is the case. I have been struggling to get back in a positive frame of mind since COVID and all the turbulence it produced in my life.
I have learned a few tricks down the road to keep myself centered and focused. They are not for everyone I am sure, but they have been working for me, so far. I mean, granted, I must alter them here and there for whatever reason. But, hey, when don’t you have to alter things in your life anymore, right?
Here are just a few suggestions; see if any of them will work for you. And, heck, if they do; let someone know of your progress. it is not only good for you to share, but it might be beneficial to the other person to hear something positive as well.

· Music, Media & Books: These really go hand in hand. When I am getting down, I love to listen to inspiring music, watch videos, or read out of a devotional. It just helps me center myself and refocus my priorities. It is almost meditative to a point to turn on inspirational music and either sing or dance to it until I can feel it in my soul.
· Do For Others: I do not know who did the study, but it has been proven time and time again that helping other people makes you feel better. Whether that is simply checking on someone or offering to take friends out for drinks; it can, and will, lift the spirits of everyone involved.
· Write It Down: Being a writer at heart, I live by this. When something is bothering me, I write it down. Try it; write out your feelings. Anger, sadness, happiness, anxiety, and even depressive thoughts; write them out. When you are done, pray over them, and then tear them up or burn them! You never have to hang on to negative feelings even if they are written down. Let them go and feel yourself become lighter because of it.

These are just a few ideas to help you keep a positive frame of mind. Anyone that knows me personally, knows I suffer from anxiety, terrible at times. However, I have really been working at it and trying to calm myself down to allow myself to love life around others. My church family at Blueprint Community Church has helped tremendously and of course my hubs and my son. I have so many people in my corner, but I do not want to flood them with my issues either. Does that make sense? I never want to make others feel as though I am unstable, ever. That is a demon I will deal with, and I will defeat.
If you have read this far; know that I love and appreciate you. Enjoy your weekend!
Until next time.
